About us - The International Summer School of Scotland
The International Summer School of Scotland attracts students from all over the world, representing over 32 
nationalities, thereby creating an international community and exposing students to an exciting variety of cultures, languages and backgrounds. The International Summer School of Scotland was established to offer 13-18 year olds a balanced summer experience of academia, fun and culture. We believe Scotland is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and St Andrews is a fantastic example of this beauty. St Andrews provides not only a beautiful setting, but a safe and historic campus to explore during the summer months.
Teachers' qualifications and experience
The International Summer School of Scotland prides itself in its professional, highly-qualified and motivated staff. All of our teachers have been carefully selected from academic institutions around the world for their qualifications, expertise and experience and bring with them an energy and enthusiasm for teaching and interacting with young people within both our academic and extra-curricular programs.
While providing high-quality academic standards for our students, our teachers are also dormitory residents and are backed up by councilors who act as role models and provide pastoral care. The success of our programs rests on the dedication and enthusiasm of our teachers and councilors and their common goal of making The International Summer School of Scotland a truly unique and exciting experience for every student. There is a staff, student ratio of 1:5 and classes are intentionally kept small in order to provide individual attention, personalised instruction and create an encouraging and supportive environment for students to learn while having fun and making new friends from around the world.
