The course covers script writing, directing, production management, cinematography, editing, location scouting and set design. Students also learn how to use top of the range Sony HD digital cameras and edit using Final Cut Pro. Working in small production crews, students direct, produce and create their own unique films.

Film students create their own short films, which are screened in front of the summer school, and also have the exclusive opportunity to take part in a workshop at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Scotland's premier film academy.
