Pre IB
Designed to prepare students about to enter the IB Diploma. Focusing on improving work habits and general academic performance, students work on a range of academic skills related specifically to IB; Critical thinking, writing and internet research, all of which are invaluable for success in IB.
Seminar topics will cover;
- Time management
- Essay writing for IB
- Presentation Skills
- Research skills
All students will work with tutors to produce IB level essays on subjects of their choice.
Students leave feeling prepared and able to take on the IB!
IB Extended Essay
Designed to offer students working on their extended essay a combination of Skills seminars and individual research periods. Held in the renowned main library of The University of St Andrews, these skills seminars and research periods will offer:
- Essay writing (including research techniques, outlining and structuring and argument, editing and formatting)
- Oral Presentation for IB
- Time management and organization, related to extended essay
- Access to The University of St Andrews main library - one of the best research facilities in the world.
- Qualified supervisors and mentors to help students gain access to the materials they require for their IB extended essay.
