A Typical Summer School Day

The timetable below shows a typical week at ISSOS. Wednesdays (half-day) and Saturdays are reserved for cultural activities and Sundays are free time, to explore Cambridge and punt down the river Cam. Although Sundays are free time we also organise workshops for students to participate in and every evening there is an organised activity in which all students are asked to take part.

We take the safety and happiness of our students very seriously at ISSOS and our team of dedicated counsellors plan evening activities, sporting events and take care of our students at all times. There is ALWAYS someone on hand to help students find their way to class, log on to the computer, phone home or simply to have a chat. Counsellors are on duty throughout the day and live in Queens Collage, making them available to the students 24/7. In addition, two members of head staff are on duty every evening.

My son has been to ISSOS twice and both times has come back from ISSOS full of life, very happy and his conversations taking on a more mature outlook. The various structured activities and the chance to make friends from different parts of the world was a wonderful opportunity for him. The independence he was afforded in a secure environment was a boost to his self-development. The interest ISSOS staff took in the students as individuals was evident when he relayed his experiences.
